Out of Hours Service
The local doctors have joined together to form the
Dalriada Out of Hours Co-operative. This service operates from 6.00pm to 7
30am on weekdays and at weekends and Bank Holidays. The telephone number is
08705 329024
The Dalriada Cooperative provides medical support and
treatment at times when the health centre is closed.
You will be asked for the following information when you
ring:
- your name
- the patient's name
- the patient's address
- the patient's date of
birth
- the name of the patient's
doctor
- the patient's symptoms
When you provide this information a doctor from the
Dalriada service will contact you within a few minutes.

Home Visits
We carry out home visits if you are too ill to come to
the Surgery. Please phone before 11am if possible. The doctor may wish to
telephone you to discuss your condition. Please come to the Surgery if it
is at all possible, as the doctor can examine you much more thoroughly
there, and remember one house call takes the same time as seeing five
people in the Surgery.
|
|
|
|
Telephone Advice
If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone, you
will be asked to leave your name, details and contact number. The doctor
will then return your call as soon as possible. Please remember that the
doctor has a busy schedule.
|
|
|
|
Parking and Disabled Access
There is ample car parking available. There are two
disabled parking spaces opposite the main door and a ramp for wheelchair
access.
|
|
|
|
Computerisation
The Practice is computerised and confidentiality is
guaranteed by the Data Protection Act.
Computerisation allows us to keep your medical records
up to date and allows for the automation of some repetitive tasks such as
repeat prescriptions.
|
|
|
|
Medical Students
We are an approved Teaching Practice. This means that
we sometimes have medical students sitting in with us during our surgeries.
They find the experience invaluable. However, if you would prefer to see
the doctor alone please say to the receptionist or doctor in the surgery.
