Dr. Peter Howie has been a GP in Larne since 1986. He has a special interest in sports medicine, acupuncture and family planning. Beyond his medical interests, he enjoys fell-running and hill-walking. He is a member of Larne Athletics Club.

Dr. Carlisle
Dr. Heather Carlisle has been with the practice since 1997. Her interests include heart disease and diabetes. One afternoon a week she teaches Medical students in Queens University. Outside medicine she plays the French horn and saxophone and is a member of both Ormeau Concert Band and Magheramourne Silver Band.

Tanya has been working in the Health Service since 1994 and has been Manager since 1999.  Tanya ensures that the practice runs smoothly.  Tanya is also the Complaints Officer and should you have any complaints or suggestions on how we could improve our practice, you should contact Tanya directly on 2826 1910.

District Nurse

There is a district nurse service to visit/treat housebound and chronically ill patients in their own homes. District nurses can be contacted on 028 2826 1625.

Treatment Room Nurses

The treatment room nurses carry out dressings, blood tests, injections, ear syringing and other practical nursing procedures. The Treatment Room is open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm (last appointment: 5.30 pm).  Appointments should be made where possible.

Sara Carse (Diabetic Nurse Specialist)

Sara is based in the Health Centre and is available from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday to give advice, support and help with all aspects of Diabetes.  Appointments can be made by contacting Sara directly on 2827 5331.
